Hi guys, how has everyone been? I apologize for my lack of posting and content as I recently had a rather big life change. I purchased my first home and followed the simple financial rules post I made some months back :). It has been a fair amount of work getting things setup but I am very happy and grateful to have my own abode. In short, after observing the market for a couple years on and off and a few months of intense research I found a brand new energy efficient construction (2014, never been lived in) for <$200k in Rhode Island. It is a 3 bedroom ranch on a slab on a 1/3rd of an acre in a nice suburban area. Super simple, just how I like em. The house is heated/cooled by an extremely efficient Fujitsu 18k Mini-Split, bamboo floors, granite counters, stainless shit. Pretty dope and modern – again I’m very grateful and feel blessed. It’s 1,200 square feet and my modern Thoreau cabin in the woods. In a year or two I’ll throw solar on the roof and get that electric bill down to $0.
I looked at three houses in RI with a Realtor I found off Zillow. Right away, we clicked and we found this brand new house and moved very quickly closing within the month I saw the house (I wasn’t even prequalified, together we got shit done). If anyone is looking around the RI area, please feel free to shoot me an email and I can hook you up with the realtor, he is one of the best in the state – honest, pleasant, prompt and MMP friendly. Rhode Island is a lovely little state with great medical marijuana laws. In fact, I would expect cannabis to be legalized next year. So there is that, plenty of places to train solid jiu jitsu and a lot of local biz and things to do. Not to mention it is probably 25-33% cheaper to live here than where i was living in a small CT shore town. Since the state is so small everything is a 20 minute drive away. City, water, beaches etc. The icing on the cake is the Fiber optic internet from Verizon. FIOS here is $50/month for >50 Mbps down 50 Mbps. In fact it is more like 60 down, 70 up most of the time. Great for an internet nerd like myself.
But anyway, let’s get on with the Pax 2. I’ve spent some months with the thing and am still very impressed with the unit. In fact, almost even more so than when I first got it because the functionality has been flawless. My preferred ways of intaking my medicine is vaporization, tincture, joints and my water pipe. In a future post, I’d like to detail how I roll up and my new Mobius Ion Matrix Bub… For a sneak preview check this girl out at Aqualab. Been hunting one of these pieces down for a few years now but got one and it is quite ideal as I am more a sipper of smoke/vapor. The bubbler is the same size as a can of soda, so it is quite nice. Once I get some equipment to hook up my Pax 2, I’ll do a special post on the marriage of the two.
Below pictured we are working with the Pax 2, Girl Scout Cookies Forum Cut and of course the Space Case Medium 2 Piece grinder.
The GSC was from a dispensary Thames Valley Apothecary provided from Advanced Grow Lab in West Haven CT. These guys grow some good meds and the GSC is very popular at the dispensary. I enjoy it and find it a good daytime/nighttime herb with a fantastically unique flavor and killer bag appeal. It leans toward a more sedative indica high and this sample produced no anxiety and raciness, which is just my type of bud. Chill, relaxing, pain relieving but not retardedly strong… My sample was ~18% THC, which is right around where I like my goods. In fact I had some excellent mellow veganic blueberry kush that was around 11% and really nice for all day mellowness. Anyway this GSC was just right and a real treat out of the Pax 2. GSC has been making some noise and is now the third most popular strain in the world.
Below is a video I made a few months back on the Pax 2 right when I moved in. Please excuse the echo, as at the time I was still moving stuff in so the house was ‘echoey.’ At any rate, thanks for reading guys and if you are interested I’d highly recommend grabbing a Pax 2 for yourself or a loved one. I think it is just about as close to a joint as you get in a vaporizer and I really dig that. Let me know in the comments how you or your friends like this wonderful piece.
